BACKGROUND
Disaster Relief Australia and Disaster Relief Team (DRT) Victoria are hosting a Trim and Crosscut Chainsaw course (previously known as Level 1 Chainsaw) to upskill our teams ready for the next opportunity to serve those impacted by a disaster, or who need our help.

COURSE DETAILS
Over the two days you will be trained and assessed on the following competencies;

Trim and Cut Felled Trees

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to trim and crosscut trees that have already been felled, crosscutting theory and practice on a chainsaw.

Operate and Maintain Chainsaws
https://training.gov.au/Training/Details/AHCMOM213
This unit of competency describes the knowledge and skills required to maintain fuel or electrically powered hand-held chainsaws. The unit includes completing routine maintenance service as well as periodic maintenance servicing and chain sharpening.
