TRAINING EVENT: First Aid & CPR
COURSE PROVIDER: Emergency Australia
LOCATION: Western Suburbs Leagues Club. 10 Old Leumeah Rd, Leumeah NSW.
DATES: Sunday 29th Nov 2020 – Sydney 1200 – 1500
MUSTER STATUS REQUIRED: Engagement Ready or Deployment Ready
Emergency Australia, 2020 Winner – Prime Ministers’ Veteran’s Employer of the Year – Small Business, will be running nationally recognised first aid training for Disaster Relief Australia in the Sydney DRT area. HLTAID001 Provide Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation + HLTAID003 Provide First Aid will be covered.
Delivery is via online theory + practical assessment. The practical assessment will be conducted at a venue to be secured with Emergency Australia providing a COVID safe plan for the activity.
The aim is to upskill our teams ready for the future disaster season, and in preparation for relaunch of Operations in the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Courses are limited to 10 participants only and will be conducted under the EA COVID Safe plan.
HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid – provides the knowledge and skills required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. It includes Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001)
HLTAID001 – Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation – provides the skills and knowledge to perform CPR in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines. Includes operation of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
WHO CAN APPLY
All members from NSW/Canberra who are at Engagement Ready or Deployment Ready and are about to, or do require First Aid/CPR re-certification, or members without a First Aid certification.
WHAT IS COVERED
PPE will be provided by EA.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Meals and drinks will be at your own expense
No fuel or travel subsidy will be provided.
To be awarded the HLTAID001 Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation you MUST be able to kneel on the ground and perform CPR for a period of no less than 2 minutes. (you may bring a pillow or towel to place under your knees).
Members must have reached ENGAGEMENT or DEPLOYMENT READY in Muster to be eligible for DRA Training. If you are waiting on a call or have had trouble setting up your profile, please indicate this in your EOI and the mobilisation team will be in touch to help you out.
