Liz is a Specialist Medical Administrator who graduated Medicine from University of Queensland in 1994. She has extensive medical and military experience and is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators. Her interests include Disaster Management, Business Continuity, Medical Workforce Management, Clinical & Corporate Governance and Veterans health & wellbeing.
After 25 year of service in the Royal Australian Navy, Liz relocated to Brisbane in 2016 and is currently the Chief Medical Officer for Metro North Hospital and Health Service in Brisbane.
She was a founding director of Disaster Relief Australia and currently serves as the Chair. Liz is also a director of the Australian Medical Council.
Liz is married to Andrew. They have three sons who they enjoy supporting making their way in the world.
