Short Term Operation Coles Bay

On 19 September 2023 a bushfire struck the Coles Bay community, burning over 750 hectares of private property and national park land. The fire damaged property including a shed, caravan and fence lines.

DRRT Tasmania conducted a two-day Short Term Operation (STO) in vicinity of Coles Bay to assist a landowner in the recovery and clean up.

This allowed the DRRT volunteers to assist the landowner as well as improve operational skills.
