Short Term Operation – City of Gold Coast

Disaster Relief Australia volunteers from Queensland South were deployed from 8–10 December 2025 at the request of the City of Gold Coast to support recovery efforts following Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

Tasks involved:

Green waste and debris management
Chainsaw, polesaw and brushcutter operations
Strategic positioning of burn piles to support planned hazard reduction burns by Rural Fire Service Queensland (RFSQ).
