Short Term Operation Kindly Animal Sanctuary

Following heavy snowfall and rain in May, the Kindly Animal Sanctuary contacted Disaster Relief Australia for assistance with fence repairs, unstable tree felling and debris clearance.

A reconnaissance conducted in July confirmed the work was within scope, and a Short Term Operation was launched with a chainsaw focus alongside a training course in tree trimming and polesaw use.

Disaster Relief Australia volunteers achieved an excellent outcome for the Sanctuary, clearing debris and restoring safe access around the cattle yards.

Tasks included:

• Fence repair and debris clearance

• Felling and trimming damaged trees

• Chainsaw and polesaw training

• Site safety and equipment management
