Short Term Operation TC Jasper

In December 2023, Tropical Cyclone Jasper crossed the North Queensland coast, causing flooding, large scale isolation, widespread power outages and significant impacts to agriculture, small business and tourism.

Disaster Relief Australia’s Queensland North team deployed to the Cairns Northern Beaches Region over two weekends in June 2024 to assist locals with ongoing recovery.

Works included:

Removal of garden waste
minor repairs to gates and fence lines
Pressure washing
Tree trimming
Moving heavy items
