Short Term Operation West Tamar

During September 2024, floods hit the West Tamar community, affecting local residents.

In February 2025, eight DRRT Tasmania volunteers supported the owners of a local farm to recover and dispose of green debris which had collected in a creek leading to a main road.

The short-term operation involved chainsaw and polesaw operations, safely trimming and removing fallen trees and branches from the creek bed.
