Local volunteer, Maureen Halit, who serves as President of the Millgrove Residents Action Group (MRAG), reflects her personal experience volunteering with Disaster Relief Australia as part of the NAB Foundation Recovery Crew:
“Volunteering with Disaster Relief Australia in partnership with the Millgrove Residents Action Group was a profoundly positive experience. On December the 5th, we worked together on a vital fire preparedness project, making the area between our homes and the Yarra River safer.
The connection between our community group and the dedicated veterans of DRA was incredible. Both teams share a deep sense of family and mission. The camaraderie and sense of collective pride upon achieving our goal were second to none. I highly recommend volunteering with DRA; their professionalism and beautiful hearts make a tangible difference.”
