Find out moreOn 1 September 2023, NAB Foundation and Disaster Relief Australia (DRA) officially launched their partnership with an overarching goal of enhancing DRA’s spontaneous volunteer capacity to support more communities affected by disaster across Australia.
NAB Foundation, which enables NAB Ready Together, is committed to helping Australia withstand and recover from natural disasters. NAB Ready Together has identified the best way to support communities through natural disasters is by funding efforts to make Australia more ready, going above and beyond for customers when disasters hit and mobilising NAB’s people and communities to help recovery efforts. With the effects of climate change, NAB’s customers need help in the face of increasing natural disasters. NAB Foundation are investing in making sure they have it.
Our partnership includes engaging NAB colleagues through volunteering, campaign activation and giving opportunities. It is also focussed on building NAB’s knowledge of the disaster recovery sector to inform their work and contribute to their leadership position in the sector.
To date:
• NAB skilled volunteers have commenced working with DRA to develop a three-year growth strategy for DRA
• more than 100 NAB colleagues out supporting various disaster recovery operations in 2022/2023
• supported the Flood Appeal both internally and externally, to raise more than $8,000 for DRA operations in flood affected communities across both NSW and Victoria.
